| #1 Posted on 13.8.07 0414.55 | Instant Rating: 9.00 | (Click on the "DVD" thread icon to find threads going back to the beginning of the year...here are links to the previous four weeks: 7/17 - 7/24 - 7/31 - 8/7)
Hello.
We only have 262 new releases this week, which is no excuse for me taking this long. (For the REAL excuse, head on over to "CRZ's World.") ANYWAY we're here NOW so without any further delay, let's get that stuff I cut and paste EVERY week in here...
For those of you who HAVEN'T been here before, these lists work like so:
Hovering over links should provide you with Amazon's current price.
CLICKING on those links will take you to the Amazon shopping cart with a friendly referral from The W - consider making your purchase through us and it'll place a few coins in our tip jar!
Because Amazon sometimes can't come correct with the information, you will see some exposition from me (or, more likely, a bad joke) in addition to the listing along with IMDb icons (which can be clicked to take you to a movie's IMDb listing) or tv.com icons (which can be clicked to take you to the relevant episode list from tv.com)
All links should open in new windows so you can come right back here after your research! (If you want - we're totally flexible about that!)
Please tell a friend (or vote this thread up Digg/Netscape/&c. with a click of the icon(s) of your choice at the bottom) about this post because it takes me a long time and I'm a big fan of more eyeballs!
Please feel free to add a reply and share your two cents about any of the listings you see here - show off your impressive knowledge, share your opinion about something you've seen, something you're looking forward to seeing, or make your own crappy jokes which are better than mine!
We also hope that if you buy something, you come back and tell us what you thought about it! This hardly ever happens, but again, we can dream!
If you have something to say but don't want to say it publicly (or register for the board - but geez, why not just register for the board?), you can also email me direct at CRZ.DVD@gmail.com!

This was shipped out to me on Friday. I ought to have it sometime in the next couple of days. I saw a live show a few weeks ago and I'm hoping it's alot of the same stuff because I need hear that all again.
Brian Regan is the funniest man on the planet. If you've never heard him get anything he's ever put out and prepare to laugh your ass off.

Yes, but it doesn't seem like it stars any actual luchadors. Summaries read like "A Santo-like wrestler has died - and in unraveling the mystery of his identity, reporter finds dirty truths about lucha libre", which would explain why no actual luchadores, huh.

This was a comic series from and they've gone and digitally blew up the frames and added music and voices to make it look like a movie. Yes... it's a moving comic book.
It sounds kinda stupid at first, but then if you've seen what Crossgen did with this format or the Marvel ones from about 6 or eight years ago, it's kinda neat.

I have heard of couple of his bits on XM151 and I must say if he's not the funniest man on the planet, he's pretty damn funny. I still think Maine's own Bob Marley is the funniest, but I get the local stuff he does.

I'm probably the only one here who actually saw this in its theatrical run (ticket girl to couple in front of me: "People have been walking out of it all day". Couple saw something else.)
MAN it was draining to watch.
Of course, ten years from now it will be long out of print due to a rights dispute while existing copies will be selling for $10,000,000 on e-Bay. |
