The return of Aaron MF'N Pierce and no one starts a thread?

Finally, we are free of the pre-strike episodes (evidenced by Jack referencing the events of Redemption) and we get a massive boost in quality. It really helped to have David Fury back writing again.

Even the soap opera scenes were money. I finally cared about President and Mr. Taylor. I was also surprised at how powerful the scene between Marika and her sister was.

As for the mole reveal, it was kinda obvious, but still handled well. I wonder if NotUmaThurman is in on it too.

With the familiar faces, some new pieces of the puzzle, and some decent tension, the show finally feels like itself again.

As for next week's preview:

It is a well-established TV tradition that a slap followed by a blocked slap ALWAYS leads to a kiss. Will the tradition continue between Jack and Renee?

Yea, that teaser was pretty clear on where that relationship is headed, though it may take a little bit longer.

That was quite the episode for cameos and mentions of people seemingly long forgotten, with Miles showing up and Curtis, Chappele and Teri being brought up to set up the return of Aaron. It's too bad 24 doesn't have many living supporting characters, because it's always fun to see old ones turn up on a show that's gone this long. (Come to think of it, I think that's what people really wanted out of Milo's return. Not...whatever that was.)

Hey, if Tony gets to come back from the dead, can we get Nina too? That'd be peachy.

The fake out on the mole was well done, but I don't know that I care. I liked the twist with the backers better.

I Love the Great Race, for all its slapstick silliness.
