All I can say is WOW ... WOW ... & WOW ...

Everything was sewn up rather nicely & the CTU-agent-formerly-know-as-Jack Bauer is now a loner. Did anyone else expect to hear that sad song that played at the end of the each episode of "the Incredible Hulk"?

I'm glad that Tony & Michelle were back together because I thought she was gonna end it when sitting in her SUV.

Bring on Season 5!!!

The missile was intercepted way to easily, but A.) I don't see any other way to have done it, and 2.) it's the perfect end to a slightly hard-to-believe day.

No call to Kim saying "you'll never see me again?"

I look forward to Day 5 for:
1.) How Jack is put back in play
2.) How we get TONY and Michelle when they're "leaving" CTU
3.) MORE ACTION CHLOE~!
4.) Super Wimp President Logan

If Logan doesn't get locked in a limo for 10 minutes with Jack Bauer in Season 5 (or at least in some extras on the Season 4 DVD set) that will be one of the greatest injustices in TV history.

Amd that final 45 minutes was probably the best scripted TV I've ever watched.

I'm hoping Jack, Tony, Michelle, and Palmer join forces and start up the "J-Team". Or don capes and masks and become a superhero crime-fighting team. Anyway, great episode, and a great season. I really thought Marwan was going to get away, but instead he gets the Hans Gruber treatment. I turned it off right after the show, not thinking there would be any previews. Did they have anything afterwards towards next season?

This was just such an incredible two hours of television. The whole season was good, but this was just really, really incredible. I know that there were a lot of things that maybe were beyond believable. But I look at 24 in the same way I look at WWE, with a suspension of disbelief, so that I can enjoy the ride.

President Logan is such a great, evil, cold bastard that I just wanted to punch his lights out. And Palmer is just so awesome.

I still can't believe Jack came back from the dead. Wow.

I'll put this in spoiler tags just in case:

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
They said something like this: On day one, he saved the President. On day two, he saved a city. On day three, he saved the nation. On day four, he saved the world. If you think you know what's coming next, you don't know Jack. I guess this was meant to suggest that Kiefer will be back.

"Logan, you son of a bitch!"

What's the recurring theme...sometimes you have to get your hands dirty? David Palmer suddenly snapped out of being taken over by the spirit of his ex-wife when he realized a good friend's life was at stake. The spirit then inhabitated Logan and all of a sudden Logan grew balls big enough to make a decision and stand by it. The sad part is, all things considered, I'd probably agree with him. Logan "doesn't know Jack" the way Palmer does, and in his eyes, Jack's a total liability if apprehended by the Chinese.

Pick up the fucking phone Michelle!

The Jack-Mandy dream match finally happened after 4 seasons, and hoo boy, was that some intense staredown. Too bad Mia Kirshner can't act.

Habib Marwan. Wow. For all he knew, he won. He beat Jack Bauer. Maybe that thought comforted him as he fell to his death. Marwan cutting Jack's hand was *brutal*.

Can Jack's heart survive until January? Clinically dead - twice.

This is the first time all season that I felt really, really sad for Audrey.

Best season, easily.

I'm kind of upset at the lack of Behrooooooooooooz sightings, and for all the good effects they've put out there, the Marwan fall looked AWFUL.

But otherwise a pretty good ending, and it's got me stoked for the DVD and Day 5 next year.

The nuclear resolution was disappointing to me. I still don't quite get the mechanics of how by shooting it down it prevents it from detonating. I guess you just have to take their word for it, but I really hate that. It explains why no one seemed incredibly worried I guess.

I was naive enough to think that somehow Berhooz plot thread would be resolved, even when it seemed like they had ran out of time. Oh well.

This was my first season with 24, and I will say that they do create a lot of good twists. They also do a good job of creating internal dilemma within characters, with tough moral decisions that must be made (though sometimes they go WAY too fast, for example with Michelle tonight). They also added some depth to at least some of the "bad guy" characters, like Berhooz's family.

All that said, the show lacks almost any concept of realism. And given this show is pretty much reality-based (as in, it's not sci-fi, or about super-heroes, etc.), I find that aspect disappointing (to say that the events of the day were "slightly hard-to-believe" is being way too generous). I think that good drama can be created with events that are still at least somewhat plausible. Maybe the writers felt that they had to top themselves from previous years, but hopefully they can get to a more realistic path next year (at least that would be MY preference, but it obviously doesn't bother long time fans of the show that much, at least it doesn't seem to here)

It's still probably one of the better shows on TV, if not the best. Of course, most TV is crap in my opinion. Still, a decent enough way to pass an hour a week.

Given 24's predilection for the loss of extremities in the season finale (Kim's Season 2 boyfriend, Chase in Season 3), I thought we were going to see Jack's hand fall with Marwan.

Great season, and the last half-hour was anyone's ballgame (we knew they would stop the nuke). I actually thought for a minute Jack was going to go ahead and "do what he had to do" and go out in the only way I think he could go out.

The final Palmer-Bauer conversation was a beautiful touch on what has been the backbone of the show for four years now.

That was a great two hour ride of TV. I knew that Tony and Jack were in on something together at the end because of what Tony went through at the end of last season.

I'm really interested to see what direction they go in next season. They couldn't really do the Chinese prison thing because of the new Prison Break show on FOX. I think that would have been overkill because they're banking on a lot of 24 fans watching that show.

They still could do something with the Chinese angle because as soon as Jack comes out of drinking margaritas in Mexico, they'll want him. I fully expect next season to start with Chloe bossing around Edgar then it being revealed that they're married.

Why do you assume Jack is in Mexico? He could've been headed north for Canada. Stay tuned for next season's 24, where Doug Thomas (a.k.a. Jack Bauer) solves crimes for the RCMP. First hour: there's a long line at a Tim Horton's and people get rowdy! Can Doug/Jack make sure everyone gets their cruellers in time for work?

I've been through Nina, Sherry Palmer, Steven Saunders and Habib Marwan and I've NEVER wanted to see a 24 villain get his ass kicked like President Logan.

So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show.--- Del Preston

I guess I'm in the minority when I say I was extremely disappointed by the resolution to the Marwan storyline. Then they throw the captured CTU agent storyline into the mix. I DON'T CARE. Fine, send him to Siberia. Jack "dying" was as predictable as Tony "dying" in the explosion.

Not a complete waste of 24 hours, but certainly a disappointing end.

I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't have something like: just when Logan was getting all those kudos and smiling that big, beaming smile, in walks...

President Keeler: 'sup. I'm all better now. Know your role.

And then he totally pardons Jack or something. Why not?

Well I'm pretty much in agreement that this was the best season. No Kim, and they got rid of all the stupid soap opera sub-plots...though I guess aside from the Audrey/Paul/Jack thing. If this was the last season of 24, I think this would've been a good way to end the show. I mean, Michelle and Tony got back together. Jack is assumed dead and has to go off the grid, assumingly forever. Palmer goes back to civilian life. Mike Novik redeemed himself for season 2. Kim seems to be living happily with Chase. But if this season proved anything, its that CTU needs Jack, and I'm sure Jack's exile will be the quickest thing to be resolved since that's how it usually is on 24.

And wow, Jack's "death" scene seemed to mirror and give me vibes from Paul's earlier this season. I like how the big threat was resolved early in the episode so we got a lot more wrap-up and the thing with Jack having to leave. Also appreciated that Palmer found out the identity of his assassin. So Mandy is still around, and me thinks that she will be the new Nina of 24. Remember, Nina getting immunity didn't exactly keep her from doing dirty work. And since Mandy is still around, I can only assume her German boss from season 2 is still around as well.

I also want to know, what happened with that print-out Paul got at the corporation earlier? We know that corporation sold weapons to terrorists, so is that something that's going to come up in season 5? Will the company reveal who they dealt with? Also, Behrooz. We never saw what happened to him. They never said he was dead. And Marwan's terrorist cells are probably still around.

Anyway, I just hope season 5 doesn't ruin what was a really satisfying and awesome season 4. Because you know its around times like this that good shows start to lose their novelty and begin to overstay their welcome. Had 24 ended now, I think it would've been the peak of the show's quality.

Last night left me wondering if that is the very last we'll see of Tony & Michelle. I thought that coming into this season, but they played an intregal part this year in many episodes.

And I had hoped that Sarah would be coming back.

Was CTU LA the only government agency working? From what I can tell, CTU LA was doing the work for FBI, CIA,FAA, FEMA, NORAD,The Air Force, Army, the State Department and the IAEA.

And why did they let the CHinese totally punk them? They assault two of our Agents and kidnap another on US soil, then coerce a confession out of him. And our government agrees to turn over our best agent? They should have told the Chinese to go fuck themselves.

And if all flights in and around LA were grounded how did the Chinese guy get to San Diego ahead of the CTU chopper?

I thoroughly enjoyed last night. I said the same thing to my wife at the end. Jack Bauer aka Jacques Bauere now works for CSIS and is saving Canada from crazy Portuguese fishermen....

Thanks 24, it's been a great ride again. I can't wait to see how they all get sucked back into the CTU vortex next year. Not sure I want to wait until January again, but what the hell...

If I had unlimited funds, I would finance a Canadian version of 24 where Kiefer's close personal friend Wayne Gretzky is kidnapped by terrorists. Actually I'm surprised that Jack Bauer hasn't strapped on some skates and some point because Kiefer is a big hockey fan and plays in a bunch of celebrity games.

On a side note, one of my favourite 24 villains, Nina Meyers, is starring in the new NBC show e-Ring coming this fall.

I would hardly say that this is the best season (actually, in my opinion it is the worst of the bunch), but that was one fine ending. Batman, I mean Jack, I mean Batman stops the nuke and fakes his own death to avoid his assassin and the Chinese government. Now, on the run and presumed dead, he has only one choice: By day, mild-mannered Canadian, but by night he defends America's freedom; stopping terrorists wherever they strike!

I'm actually kind of surprised that nobody has mentioned the best damn line of the show:
"You played a role, David. You played a role."

President Logan was AWESOME. Just so over the top!

The Gervais sign gag and "Dam that's good!" quote from Angry Dad were the best parts of this episode. Thumbs down for this one, as way too much time was spent showing "clips" of the nominated short films that opposed Angry Dad.
