Well, he was a bad cop in "The Usual Suspects". My wife and I were watching that last night, and I had to do the ol' rewind check to see that it was him!
Crazy-arsed situations and coincidences aside, I am interested to see how this all wraps up and who is behind all of this / helping the terrorists. Is Marwan the mastermind behind it all, or does he have help? Why is Novick acting so fishy? Should be an interesting ride for the last few episodes.
Novick is acting fishy, but he's also, oddly enough, Jack's go-to guy when he needs to call the White House. Clearly he wields a fair amount of influence over the veep. Also, for some real spoilers:

| It's been reported all over the place (I first saw it on the local Fox News here, sans spoiler warnings) that Palmer is coming back for the final six episodes. That would be a week from Monday, if I am counting correctly. Maybe he'll have to take over in the White House again, since clearly, we are not "in good hands" with the current chief exec. (ha ha). |

Oh my god, I'm so worried.
I mean no disrespect at all to the better, newer, currenter 24 thread, but since I'm not talking about anything new (and am going to speak all in spoiler tags anyway) I figured I'd just add onto this old thread.

I hope Heller isn't involved because I like William Devane and he could probably be useful in future seasons. But I don't think anything during his kidnaping prevents him from being in on the plot in retrospect. If he's in on it, probably only he and Marwan would know about it. And Heller would have known the whole time that he was never in any real danger, no matter how many times he escaped and did whatever else, because Marwan was never going to have him killed. He'd get to act like defiant tough guy, kill a few lackey terrorists, and not have to worry that they'd retaliate.
The bit with the gas is cheesy, but I think that was Audrey's idea. |
