Thoughts:

I like this Foxman guy. Preferring the violent over the sensible. What's up with Wayne coming in, screaming, to stop Julia? He's just not cut out for this breaking-and-entering, punching out ladies stuff. And then... pow. Murder suicide time. Outrageous. Wayne, clearly, is completely fucked. As will be the president, in all likelihood.

Tony... going to the chair? I sure hope not. Send him to a non-extradition treaty country, or something. Maybe Jack can smuggle him out somewhere.

Meanwhile, 10 couriers to go. In one episode. What are the odds some of them are released?

Its one courier. They got all the others except the last one in LA. They got the ones in Washington, Vegas, Seattle, and San Francisco. Right now the only one unaccounted for is in LA close to where Jack and Chase are. Though who's to say there are others Saunders or CTU don't know about ?

Sherry Palmer getting punched in the face was my personal highlight of the season. Beautiful!

And even better coming from a guy you know was thinking about prison sex with Tim Robbins.

I guess this should be hidden, so...

...the preview for next week showed Wayne (back in the office) pointing out to a teary Palmer that the murder/suicide ended everything about Wheelchair Guy's murder and Sherry's involvment. The only loose end would be Keeler knowing what Sherry told him, but he can't prove anything.

Anyway, I think the only way Wayne would be in trouble is if he does something stupid like trying to leave before the cops get there. Nobody would know that he was there for the shootings, so he could just claim that he found the bodies and tried to help Julia.

The grin on his face after K.O.-ing her was *priceless*! Excellent job. I am curious to see how next week wraps up - is it going to be a all tied-up resolution, or is there going to be a cliffhanger like last year?

You know, Wayne can only blame himself. Here is the only guy that the woman would listen to, and he just stands there nodding. He could have agreed and said just about anything, but he didn't. I guess if Penny Jerald wanted to come around next season, Wayne might have been more forceful.

Great episode and I can't wait for the finale as Tony gets 40 years in Alcatraz, Michelle makes out with Hammett (sp?), and Chase gives his life to throw the virus in his mouth and save Jack. Then Chase's baby starts crying at that exact moment and we all cry long, hard tears as well. Awwwww.

Mr. Green: Who would want to kill the cook?
Miss Scarlett: Dinner wasn't THAT bad.
Col. Mustard: How can you make jokes at a time like this?
Scarlett: It's my defense mechanism.
Mustard: Some defense. If I was to kill her, I would kill you next. (audible gasps) I said if, IF. Hey, come on there is only one admitted killer here, and it is certainly not me, it is her!
Mrs. White: I've admitted nothing.
Mustard: Well, you paid the blackmail. How many husbands have you had?
White: Mine or other women's?
Mustard: Yours.
White: Five.
Mustard: Five?
White: Yes, just the five. Husbands should be like Kleenex- soft, strong, and disposable.
Mustard: You lure men to their deaths like a spider with flies!
White: Flies are where men are most vulnerable.

Thank you! I KNEW I recognized that guy. He was one of the "sisters" from Shawshank, right?

"Michelle makes out with Hammett (sp?)"

Hammond. Brad Hammond. And, while I think the stuff with Saunders and the virus was really cool this season, was I the only one who found Palmer's stuff not only boring, but also needlessly complicated? I mean, why didn't he just toss Sherry to the police as soon as he found out she killed Milligan? Just claim that he never put her to work, and that he doesn't know what she was doing. Could have saved everyone a lot of trouble right there.

Milliken. Alan Milliken. Doing so would have screwed Palmer over because Sherry would have claimed she was doing Palmer's dirty work. Palmer *was* the one who called Sherry, after all.

This episode was fantastic. Jack Bauer would've sent Jane into that hotel if he had to, but that look of absolute total relief on his face when Saunders caved was priceless.

Tony's walk of shame into CTU was a tremendous scene.

The subway scene was quite the nail-biter.

Damn, bested at my own game!

But the point was, how would Sherry prove anything at that point? All she could do is say that Palmer called her, he says, "no, I didn't. Also, I'm the President of the United States." Who do you think the cops believe? The President, or the ex-wife who has twice tried to ruin him?

Phone records would show that the President or someone in his office made first contact with Sherry. That'd be hard to deny. It's still going to dangle out there. I'm sure even Keeler can figure it out and use it, somehow, if not enough to get Palmer to resign, then leak it to get the media so that they dig deeper into the murder/suicide. Or something...

Watching Foxman punch out Sherry was the funniest thing I saw on television this season that didn't occur on Arrested Development.

By the way, being elected President is the worst thing that's ever happened to David Palmer. It's a shame how a good guy can get screwed so badly.

Yes with the murder suicide thing you are right. If Palmer had hung Sherry out to dry in the beginning it's not like ex's don't talk especially when they have kids together. Palmer could have tried to spin it. Palmer also could have told the truth that Sherry went to talk to Milligan and that Sherry fucked up and killed him sort of. While they need to have Palmer in the show it bugs me that he is screwing around with this crap with everything that is going on.
But what really pisses me off is the new head of CTU. There were 11 vials of virus out there and he is bitching out Tony and threatening him. Is that really the biggest problem he has right now? I know that they need to do it that way because of the shows concept but still leave the whole Tony thing up in the air and tell us what happened to him next season.

Not to get off topic, but Zap2it.com reports that 24 will likely be moving to Mondays at 8:00 next season. Also, they won't start up again until January. I guess they think they're HBO or something.

If they're not starting until January, this is good news for two reasons.

a) More time for the writers to prep and plan for next season, and come up a storyline that's a bit more coherent. We've yet to have a season of 24 that's awesome from start to finish, though granted, the a .750 ass-kickingly awesome batting average is pretty strong.

b) It means that we will get 24 EVERY SINGLE WEEK from January until the end of the year with no breaks. Booyah.
