Aloha Pro Wrestling Prognosticators!

Somehow, another year is gone, and with it, another year of WWE PPV Predictions here on The-W(.com). This year makes it 11, I believe, years that I've been collecting and compiling YOUR guesses for each match of each WWE PPV. A few housekeeping items before we get into the usual fine print:

-First, for my own sanity, it would be cool if when you post in the prediction threads, you could somehow be explicit about who you're picking to win. Most of you are fantastic at this, but there are some who post a bit of stream of consciousness back-and-forth and I have to take the time to parse who I believe they're actually picking.

-Know that if you post that you're picking someone to "retain" their title, I'm assuming you're picking them to win, and not, say, retain by DQ loss or something. Just want to make that clear.

-I welcome everyone to pick the pre-show matches...but also know that I don't count those in the actual PPV Predictions. If they're not on the PPV proper, they're not included in the PPV predictions.

-Speaking of not counting: I didn't count this year's WWE Network-exclusive Elimination Chamber show in the predictions because, well, it wasn't an actual PPV. I fully realize the landscape is changing and the focus is more on the WWE Network, and I'm sure at some point, PPV will be fully cannibalized. What can I say, it's hard to let go.

Now, other stuff:

I split the results into three categories based on the number of PPVs guessed. The top level is for those who guess between 6-12 PPVs; the middle level is for those who guessed 4 and 5; and finally, the lower level is for those who guessed 1-3. Since I don't think it would be fair for someone who guessed only one PPV and went 4-0 to win the title, I arbitrarily made the decision to make only those who guessed between 6-12 eligible for the big prize. It also encourages people to predict more PPVs. If you are atop the other two levels, you can also proclaim yourself winner of that level at least, even if it's not the overall crown.

Last year's results: http://the-w.com/2014-wwe-ppv-prediction-results

Total predictors were 67, down only one from last year. But level one predictions were down quite a bit, and level three predictions almost doubled.

Most guessed PPVs were Wrestlemania at 49, then Fastlane with 46 and Extreme Rules with 34.

Least guessed: Survivor Series and TLC with just 22, and Hell in a Cell at 23. As a comparison, TLC was the least-predicted last year with 29.

The new Prediction year begins with Fastlane, so look out for the thread to be posted after Raw this week. May the odds be ever in your favor!

I really am a big fan of your work and these in general. Ppv predictions is why I signed up here.

I know this would mean more work for you but could we get a iron man division that only counts if you picked all 12 ppvs? Over a dozen did last year.

Yeah, I'll also add my thanks for compiling all this. It's obviously a ton of work, and we appreciate it.

I wound up doing a lot better than I thought I would this year. For a while, I was less reliable than a coin flip.

We're #3! We're #3!

Thanks for doing this every year - it's really the reason I post PPV predictions, to see how this data all shakes out in the end.

And I guess I'll refrain from writing things like "My Client BARAACKK Lesnar" as my pick if it makes tabulation more difficult. :)

I'm very excited to be last place in the last group. I feel very special to be the worst. I now know my goal for next year.

It's the most important meal of the day.

Do you have to be at a certain rank/level/whatever to make the list/be counted? Looking back I did predictions for at least the last three PPVs of the year and probably beyond that.

Thank you for doing this by the way!

And sorry for pushing everyone down. I feel like I snuck in with the briefcase and stole the top spot.

What sucks is that WWE has essentially banned the flashy high-flying moves. Nitro can do great corkscrew moonsaults and standing shooting star presses, and I wish WWE would allow him to do them a few times.
