The only thing confusing to me is how Bama has the top spot in most computers. They've played the easiest schedule of the top three to date, with a two loss A&M being the only decent game. And they gave up over 600 yards in that one. I get human voters having them up there because it's Bama. But the computers...doesn't make sense.

Really counting on Stanford or LSU to help FSU out here. Voters decided before the season began that Oregon and Bama were the top two, and they'll refuse to change their mind no matter what if they win out.

I think the inherit problem for this the idea the SEC is a good conference. The ACC says otherwise. Alabama being number one has a lot to do with last year. Their schedule is ridiculous easy and LSU is the only team that could stop them prior to the SEC title game which at this point is going to be a team limping in with a two or three lose record. At last my Irish got in the Top 25, now can they keep til the Stanford game.

The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.

What we need is for the human voters to realize what we're headed for and what they could alter it to become. As is, if the top four win and and stay the same ranking, we get Bama vs Oregon, Ohio State vs PAC 12 runner up and FSU vs maybe Fresno. One great game and two stinkers.

If FSU wins this weekend, they should think ahead(I know, homer talking) and move FSU to two while they can justify it. It's not like there is any real way to know how the top three should be anyway. That way, we could have Bama vs FSU and Oregon vs Ohio State. Still end up with two unbeaten teams, but much better Overall matchup with all undefeated teams playing each other.

You realize the playoffs start NEXT year, right? We still only have the BCS title game this year.

Of course. But I'd rather see this lineup and end with two undefeated teams than see Ohio State and FSU get stuck with crap and end Ending with maybe three unbeaten.

Preseason=Bengals and Browns a combined 4-0 and tied for first. Thus proving it means nothing. I mean, yeah, the Bengals are gonna be in the playoffs and everything, but the Browns!? Come on!
