They lost a close(-ish) one to the Jags in the mid/late 90s, but it wasn't exactly soul crushing stuff. That's all I can think of in the last 20-odd years. Other than that, and the Bills one you mentioned, it's been win it all or get well beaten I think. | JayJayDean

That Jags game was soul-crushing because the Broncos went from 12-1 to 13-3 while still retaining home-field advantage, and they lost to the upstart "first-time-in-the-playoffs"-Jags. I thoroughly enjoyed that game because ex-UW Husky Mark Brunell was Jacksonville's QB and that opened the door for the AFC Championship Game at Foxboro the following week.

Yeah, there were a few *really* bad calls in there. Hopefully the fact the right team still won doesn't mean the officials get a pass because they pretty much stank.

Seriously. If they take nothing else from the game hopefully they at least learned it's a good idea to wrap up Nicks instead of going for the lawn dart approach to tackling. Also, catching passes when they hit you in the hands helps. | lotjx

I didn't think there was anything that would ever make me feel even the tiniest bit better about how Super Bow XLII turned out. Eli and the Giants doing it to the Packers, only worse and at Lambeau, somehow does.
