I think it kind-of looks like a Duplo/preschooler's toy version of a Porsche. I *do* however want the new VW Bully, which will probably end up looking completely different when it finally comes out in late 2013.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be. The lines actually better reflect the classic Beetle than the 'New Beetle' did.
I've owned both...my first two cars were '74 Super Beetles (actually I've owned nine VW's total), and I had a 2000 New Beetle GLX for several years, which was my favorite car I've ever owned. I just loved that thing. I've moved on to a small SUV (Nissan Rogue), which has been wonderful...almost ridiculously reliable.
Still, I like the looks of the new one and look forward to sitting in one, maybe even driving it. I'd like to add a coupe to my garage for the occasional fun vehicle.
I'm also interested in the Fiat 500, though, which I sat in at the Minneapolis Auto Show this year.
Robert Rodriguez actually quit the Directors guild to make this film and be able to have Frank Miller's name along with his listed as 'Director'. The Directors Guild only allows one director to be listed per film and one Assistant Director.
