With 8 trades and 16 of the 32 drafts being traded at least once tonight, it was a good night to watch the draft. The NFL Network finally realized people like to hear who was drafted by Goodell, instead of Rich Eisen revealing it while showing the pick celebratingon his cell phone.

Not to mention the Patriots trading UP twice tonight to get players they had to have.

How did your team do? What was the biggest surprisefor you tonight? Are you hopeful for your team now, or slightly suicidal?

Izzy Jo (who is 9) had to miss the draft for soccer practice. Oddly, this was a rare practice I did not attend so I got to watch the draft, and when she got home we had this conversation...

Me: Do you know who Jon "Bones" Jones is?
Her: No.
Me: Oh, well he's the best UFC fighter in the world and his brother plays football and the Pats took him. And then they took a guy from Alabama.
Her: Defenders?
Me: Yes, both guys.
Her: *fist pump* Yeah, baby let's make a strong defense!

That's about as good of analysis as you're going to get, people.

The live crowd giving Gooddell the "WHAT?!" treatment all night shows what a poor influence wrestling fans are on society.

I'm willing to change my mind on this, however, if the NBA Draft starts with the live crowd chanting "YES! YES! YES!" after Anthony Davis is drafted.

I'm pleased with the Bills picking up a cornerback. A sensible pick, considering we're trying to build a killer defense.

If it was that little to get Honey Badger, I wish the Steelers would have found a way to do that deal. He has the potential to be the most explosive rookie this year especially as a special teams option. Steelers finally got some O-Line help for Ben and someone who can make holes for the run. Personally, I would have liked to see them get Hightower though. They still need a good CB and a back up QB and a WR if Wallace is out next year. Man, the Defense Ends were in high demand this year.

That's not Honey Badger.

I really hope KC knows what it's doing picking up Poe, a Combine sensation. Those usually don't work out.

So my Bears, a team with an offensive line that exists only in theory, decided to go with an undersized defensive end who is best suited to a 3-4 system. Way to go!

Thank god for fantasy football.

I, like Ozzie Guillen, love DeCastro. What a dream.

Not to be oppositional defiant, lotjx, but they don't really need any of those things. Wallace is stuck, Leftwich is the backup, and they're psyched about the two CBs from last year.

I was surprised that the Titans took the WR from Baylor, but if you want Jake Locker to succeed, you have to give him weapons.

Leftwich has zero accuracy. Wallace is stuck til next year when he can leave unless they franchise him and if they are psyched about the CBs why didn't they play? They got torched by Tebow for Christ sakes. Also, shit my bad on Honey Badger.

Those are pretty funny. Pretty sure this was my analysis of the Lions' first round pick:

Backup QBs are not as good as starters. No point in replacing Wallace until you're sure he's not going to be here, especially when you've got 4 good WRs and he's arguably not the best one. Brown and Allen were rookies learning the defense and playing in the dime; they were the key to the reverse-the-curse game against Brady last year.

Not exactly earth-shattering observations on my part but I'd think we'd be after ILB, more OL, and NT since this is the last year for the Fat Man.

Well, I'm hopeful. Super happy to get Richardson, pleased at the upgrade at QB (built with an arm like DA but with the ability to put touch and accuracy on his throws? SOLD), glad that the RT is addressed with someone who looks consistent at the position. Throw in a WR and I'll be thrilled.

Lions have officially bought into the Madden Curse. Way to go... Idiots. #nodefensewhatsoever

I guess it could have been worse... The Lions could have drafted someone dumb enough to smoke weed right before the combine. Where's Mike Adams from? Oh, of course.

Lots of Illini guys going in early rounds. You'd think they'd have not lost 6 straight last season.

Since he went to the Eagles, it's safe to say Nick Foles is actually going to use his full name in the pros, which (as we learned from his time at Arizona) is Nick Foles-InALosingEffort.

The Jaguars drafted a punter in the third round. Suffice to say, not entirely pleased about that. But I did like their first two picks.
