Full list of Golden Globes nominees here. (goldenglobes.org)
I'm rooting for Game of Thrones and Peter Dinklage, Downton Abbey and Elizabeth McGovern and Hugh Bonneville and Maggie Smith, Homeland and Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, Hugo and Martin Scorsese.
Snubs include Community (of course), Nick Offerman for Parks and Recreation (again).
Also, in what universe is My Week With Marilyn considered a Best Comedy or Musical? I guess it was hilarious to watch Marilyn Monroe's emotional instability be enabled.
Finally, Michael Fassbender nominated for Shame. His dick doesn't need a Golden Globe when it already has two. (Disclosure: I have not seen Shame.)

I can see this awards season is all about trying to find shows to cover up the Mad Men bald spot on TV and picking films in limited release for movies.

New Girl getting a nod for Best TV Series - Comedy/Musical makes me happy. Glee, not so much, because that show went downhill FAST! And this is coming from a guy who was all-in for the first season and a half.
The Walking Dead getting completely shut out upsets me greatly.

| #7 Posted on 15.12.11 2354.32 | I'm been holding out to start one till I see the finale but I've been thinking we need a thread for AHS. My girlfriend and I have been completely engrossed in the show as we've been catching it in spurts On Demand. (The episode with Eric Stonestreet and the Piggy Man is endlessly fascinating for what it implies about the universe of the show.) I don't think this show is award worthy, but it certainly is interestting. Even Jessica Lange, while good in her own right, feels like an acquired taste.
As for the rest of the awards, I've long given up on expecting any professional commentariat to agree with my tastes, so bully for whomever should win. | Amos Cochran
