Bloodshed week. No more complaining about Boise State (though they should still be annoyed that they're the lowest ranked of all the 1-loss teams that had national title aspirations [sorry, Southern Miss]). We're an Oklahoma State loss away from seeing a rematch (with LSU vs either Alabama or Oregon) in the national championship. I thought people were against a playoff because it would trivialize regular season games?
The Big East gets a lot of crap for being sucky, but the Big Ten hasn't been much better this year. There's a log jam with Michigan State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Michigan being 15-18 in the BCS standings, and Penn State just a little behind. One of those teams is going to the Rose Bowl!
How does a 6-4 Auburn team still get to be in the BCS? SEC biased as usual. My Irish are 7-3 and they at least beat a ranked team. They'll lose to BC this week and Standford after that. I still say that LSU or. Ok. State lose a game before this all pans out. If they win out, it will be a minor miracle.

Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
Should Arkansas knock off LSU and the winner of the 3 way tie win the SEC Title Game, or even lose the SEC Title Game, that would GUARANTEE a Top 5-6 SEC team with only 1 loss would not be in the BCS while a Big East team would be in the BCS due to the 2 team max rule.

Notre Dame isn't very good, but BC really, really stinks this year. I just don't see any way ND loses that unless they totally fall apart.
If OSU loses, it'll likely be to Oklahoma and I'd bet the voters would jump OU over Bama and Oregon just to avoid a rematch. Be close with the computers to see if they could hold that not having a conf championship game, but I think that's what the human polls would push for.

Being ranked #24 isn't *really* being "in the BCS". It's not like they are going to a BCS bowl even if they get to 8-4. However, the computers love Auburn because their losses are to BCS #1 LSU, #6 Arkansas, #7 Clemson, and #14 Georgia.

Badgers control their own destiny, thanks to Purdue upsetting Ohio State and Nebraska knocking off Penn State.
Win at Illinois, win at home vs. Penn State, and the Badgers win the Leaders division, landing a spot in the inaugural Big Ten title game. Win that and hello Pasadena!

I know Oakland vs. Dallas would have been big in the 70's, but if it is between the Raiders on Thanksgiving and the Chargers vs. Cowboys on Thanksgiving, I'd go with the latter at this point in the 21st century.
