As I said on twitter: If the Colts go 0-16 they deserve more than just the 1st draft pick. Maybe the entire first round, maybe a coloring book to cheer them up.

If they blank the year, every team they lost to should permit their backup QB to try out for them. And McNabb. And Jamarcus Russell. Along with Luck.

If nothing else, the writers should vote Peyton Manning MVP to make up for the three or four this Colts season suggests he's owed.
As unlikely as it seems, the Eagles can still win the NFC East if they win out, and the Giants/Cowboys both lose their next two and then tie in the season finale. (Philly actually wins if they tie at 8-8 with Dallas as well, since the Eagles would have to have beaten Dallas in Week 16 and already beat them earlier this year in the reverse fixture.)
It would be amazing if Seattle or Arizona somehow made it into the playoffs. The Bears are sinking like a rock, it seems likely that only one NFC East teams advances and Atlanta/Detroit are both major question marks. The Seahawks, meanwhile, finish with @Chicago, home vs. San Fran, @Arizona. The Cardinals play Cleveland, @Cincy and then host Seattle. Good god, it would take a LOT of help from collapsing teams, but Arizona vs. Seattle in Week 17 could conceivably be a play-in game for one team.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I'll pass on Russell, thanks.

a) Just trying to help, and b) SI ran an article on Russell earlier this year that basically said "his 'lazy bastard' rep is entirely undeserved, the man has apnea". It's possible Jamarcus is a great QB with the proper meds and such. (Are there meds for apnea?)
ESPN.com is reporting that Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi may have suffered stroke-like symptons when he was admitted to the hospital earlier in the week. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1993188 I hope this is nothing too serious.
