Hindsight being 20/20, do Florida fans start to wish God had told Tebow to go pro a year early?
3 straight losses, 2 straight in the Swamp: Think Urban wishes he took the year off?
I want to say farewell to Ohio State for the National Title Game, but whenever that happens, they sit on the sideline the last 2 weeks while everyone else beats each other up and sneak in. Still, they no longer even control their own destiny for the Big Ten title.
Has the Rich Rodriguez watch restarted.
Good teams don't blow 18 point leads against Kentucky the week after knocking off #1.
Knows the Michigan State collapse has to happen soon.
Doubt Arkansas worried about getting blown out when they took the 43-37 lead in the 4th quarter. That was so LSU wacky, I was hoping for Auburn to get to 80.
Florida State might not be all the way back. If BC had a poor QB, they would have knocked off the Seminoles.
Guess Texas left the going away receipt for Nebraska.

What an amazing day of games. Auburn/Arkansas was unreal. Ohio State losing is always fun. South Carolina...is still South Carolina. What can you say, they're never going to be better than what they are.

Told you I was still worried about FSU. They may be better, but they don't have the depth or talent to crush teams every week yet. Especially with Ponder struggling this season.

So thrilled for Texas. I've never met a reasonable or nice Nebraska fan, so I have no clue why they have such a great reputation overall. When they came down here a couple years ago they were rude pricks. All this whining and crying from their fanbase...they deserved what they got today.

I too await Michigan State pulling a Michigan State and falling on their face. Maybe times are changing up there?

I'm really enjoying watching UF this year. Especially the close ups they constantly give of Urban.

And thank you Gameplan, I will watch that Nevada vs Hawaii 10:30pm game.

I think Michigan State has only Ohio State in their way and after that game, they really have no one standing in their way. The Irish finally close the door on someone in the second half. Urban is drunk calling Teabow as we speak. Nebraska never ceases to amaze me in their ability to get talked up one week then crash a week or two later. I think ND can beat can beat any team in Florida.

As bad as Bama's lose was last week, they will find a way into that championship even if they are four undefeated teams ahead of them or Rivals radio will set the BSC offices on fire, because an SEC especially a one lose Alabama has to get into the title game even. That radio station gave me so much joy this week listening to Bama fans convincing themselves its not over and they still are the best team in the country with a two touchdown loss to a beat that just lost to Kentucky. The BSC poll is going to make people weep, its going to be great.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

I'm glad Auburn won by enough so that the first big play review (the one ruled a touchdown when it was pretty clear that the ball was fumbled and turned over to Arkansas just before the plane of the goal line was broken) didn't matter. At this point, I'm really at a loss to name anyone who's ahead of Cam Newton on the list for the Heisman, and next week's battle with the Mad Hatter looks like the only thing standing between the Tigers and heading into the Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa with an 11-0 record.

Also glad to (once again) see Ohio State prove themselves the frauds that they clearly are (and gladder that it only took a week this time). Looks like Oregon and Boise State will be 1-2 in the polls next week, which is only going to strengthen Boise's projected stronghold on #1 in the initial BCS standings (which is a *good* thing).

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

I'm split on my Auburn Tigers performance tonight. On the one hand, I love seeing Newton continue his Heisman campaign in fine fashion. On the other, I hate that we let them put up 40+ with a backup QB playing most of the game. I've said it a couple of times, and I hate to sound like a broken record on this, folks, but I do not feel good about our defense at all. Fairley can't be the only guy to make plays. We had a couple of picks tonight, but we need solid plays like that through the whole game and not just when we have the game locked up.

I was glad to see Ohio State lose. If Lendale White has taught me anything, it's the fact that Ohio State sucks. The fact that Nebraska lost doesn't really surprise me, even with the 'Huskers ranked fifth. It will be interesting to see the polls when they come out. Oregon should be number 1 in the AP and coaches, and if I was Boise State I would cherish being number one in the BCS while you can.. because they aint going to be in that spot long.

What a weekend for College ball!

Michigan State actually doesn't even play Ohio State this season, which would've made it pretty hilarious had both ended up undefeated. The Spartans have home games against Purdue and Minnesota, and road games at Northwestern (easy), Penn State (medium) and Iowa (hard) left on the schedule. Iowa probably takes them out and thus leaves the Big Ten without a national title contender provided that two of Oregon, Boise State, Auburn and TCU (or even Utah) hold serve the rest of the way.

I'd flip Northwestern and Penn State this year on the scale of difficulty. Could that fake field goal against ND really have altered the universe that significantly that Sparty isn't a bunch of choking dogs?
Air Force loss late hurts TCU, Nevada loss late might really hurt Boise. Oregon State loss hurts both.

Although they didn't beat the #1 team the week before, it almost happened to Auburn last week when *they* faced Kentucky. If our defense could play like they do in the 2nd half the whole game, we might have beaten them too, but I'm certainly glad the 'ol Ballcoach has finally lost to Kentucky. Maybe we can get Tennessee this year and get that monkey off our backs too. Regardless, football stays relevant in Lexington a bit longer despite afternoons at Keenland and the beginning of basketball practice. Always nice to see as a Kentucky football fan.

Fun game last night, OSU vs. Wisconsin. Well, if you're a Badgers fan I suppose. Can't say enough about how important Gilreath's return of the opening kickoff for a TD was to set the tone. I was worried about having to contain Pryor, since the Wisconsin D has struggled at times this year, and they showed it here. The youthful D-Line held up well; not a ton of pressure on Pryor, but I'm sure they at least wanted to keep him in the pocket. And the much-maligned defensive backfield held up well, all things considered. Most of the big plays came on times when Pryor scrambled and the defensive backs couldn't hold their men any longer.

As far as the offense, the O-Line seems to have been overrated this year, but tonight, they played like the best line in the country, maybe for the first time this year. Tolzien's throw to Pedersen late was huge, as was the performance of James White and John Clay. Kudos to all involved on Wisconsin's side. Hopefully, the Bielema naysayers will take a week off.

Agreed, we can't write this football season off just yet, the hardest part of the schedule is arguably behind us.
