CC has already been replaced by Jered Weaver, correcting what many thought was a major snub. The problem is, Jered is also scheduled for Sunday, meaning he's an All-Star in name only and will be replaced as well. I guess if you keep picking guys that are scheduled for Sunday, everybody can be an All-Star!
EDIT: Oops. I was going on information from a story last night on MLB.com. Jered is NOT on the roster because he's scheduled to pitch Sunday. Girardi said Weaver would be next because of CC not being able to appear, but Scioscia is not going to move the rotation around to allow Jered to make it. The story I read last night spelled it out as I described above.

I repeat, since it was mentioned on SportsNation today:

So a Triple Crown contender with a MVP season in the making, isn't good enough to start in the All-Star Game because of meaningless errors and hundredth-decimal points? Give me a friggin' break.

Also, Clay Buchholz has been put on the DL, so he's presumably out of the All-Star game as well.

Bah! I didn't want my participation in F@H to affect what people thought of me. I even tried to edit this post after the fact, but it was too late for me to do so.

This is the second time (first being Ibanez) that a player the Mets were considering went to a rival in the division and I was actually glad because I didn't want them. Now the Mets can focus on Oliver Perez who I would rather have.
