Being originally from NE Ohio, I was as upset as anybody when he left. However, I don't think it's accurate to characterize his play as selfish, if anything he has been criticized for not being selfish enough, especially at the end of games.
In fact he realized that he needed a better team to win. I hope Dallas wins but now that Miami has figure out how to play as a cohesive unit, I don't see it.

I would say the entire city of Miami just made the dirty pants, but that would imply they were watching.
Good thing Jason Terry was having a good shooting night before his colossal brain fart. Just the same, he probably owes Dirk dinner tomorrow night.
Never before have I celebrated jump shots before they went in. I've feared them, from the likes of Ray Allen and Reggie Miller and JJ Redick (in college), but never celebrated. Then I started cheering for 2011 Dirk. HE'S AUTOMAGICAL.

A lot was being made of Wade's 3-pointer that put Miami up 15 and how Wade was milking the moment, but really, Miami acting like a bunch of arrogant pricks is barely even news at this point.

But I have to say that I've had enough with this "team that has won game x wins y out of z times" nonsense.
The first I really heard about it was before game 3.
And then he basically calls Erik Spoelstra an idiot for not buying into the fact that game 3 is the end all and be all.
What happened with that? Miami won game 3. Congratulations, Miami. But Dallas responds to win both game 4 and game 5 (at home, so it's not like it should be a major surprise), and what's the ESPN summary saying?
Chris Bosh had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat, who get the final two games at home with history against them as they try to win a title in their first season together: In the 26 previous finals that were tied 2-2, the Game 5 winner won 19 of them.
News flash to sports writers: The team that just won a game to pull ahead in the series is going to win more often than not because THEY ARE NOW AHEAD IN THE SERIES. There's nothing special about any one game, except that it puts you closer to winning 4 games before your opponent can do so, which is the point.

| #19 Posted on 10.6.11 2223.19 | I'm a lifelong Heat fan, by default I'm happy to see my grandpa's team winning...
but 1. Kidd deserves a ring 2. Wade-Lebron are going to get a ring, it doesnt have to be immediately when Lebron signs with Miami. It can (will?) be next year so I'm fine with my prediction happening which is Mavs in 7
You know who I like in the Heat? Mario Chalmers. This series has made me a big Chalmers fan. Im from Miami though...
