Holy crap. You'd figure if anyone could come back from down 3-0, it'd be the Lakers, and if anyone would choke and blow a 3-0 lead, it'd be the Mavericks. | #29 Posted on 8.5.11 1706.07 | Instant Rating: 9.04 | That was about as gutless a performance as I've ever seen. It's particularly galling when compared to the way the Celtics played yesterday, with Rondo coming out with a DISLOCATED ELBOW and still managing to torch Miami. The Celtics played with heart. The Lakers played like they had already quit. It's a dark day in Lakerland.
There have been rumors of Pau Gasol going through "personal issues" and they have to be some deep ones for him to completely no-show the entire postseason.
Time to look forward to the offseason. Bynum's stock is still really high, so those Andrew Bynum/Dwight Howard trade rumors will be going strong until next season. (Whenever next season is, anyway)

Yeah; it pisses me right the hell off that the one year the Pacers will have fantastic cap room, there's almost a 100% chance it'll be a lockout season.

| #33 Posted on 15.5.11 1720.35 | Instant Rating: 9.04 | That was a decisive Game 7, but this postseason made stars out of a lot of those Memphis players. Zach Randolph's a bonafide superstar now and Mayo's going to be great someday. And hey, it's a Gasol that DOESN'T play soft! What a novel concept!
And a belated congrats to StingArmy's Hawks, who lasted a lot longer than any of us gave them credit for.
