From my fan-of-neither-team seat, there was :01 showing when the ball leaked out of the hands of the receiver, but by the time the refs came in waving off the catch and blowing their whistles, time expired. And despite the horrid loss of time, I don't think Seminole fans can complain that they didn't get enough chances.
I was thinking at the time that they could have gotten an extra play out of the last set of downs, if they called another one-step fade or post there, no way 6 seconds runs off the home scoreboard. Should have saved the rollout run/pass option for the 4th down play they would have gotten.
It definitely became the new worst game I've seen since the Seahawks beat the Browns 9-6 in their 2001 season opener. I was wondering which would be a higher number - Bills penalties vs. Browns dropped passes.
