TCU is a Texas loss (and winning out) away from the national title game, because they still play two top 22 BCS teams. And no matter how much the pollsters don't want it to happen, it wouldn't matter in the end.

Nice to see the 6 undefeated teams be the top 6 this week. What a concept.

TCU already beat BYU like a drum in Provo.

Ah right, well even so, they still have Utah and if they whip THEM like a drum (which they probably will), then that's going to boost their computer ranking up. And Texas losing at the end of the season would drop them in the eyes of pollsters. It's entirely possible we're looking at TCU in the national title game. I don't think a non-BCS team has been ranked 4th in the BCS at week 11 in the season.

Now, in the grand spirit of controversy, what happens if Florida and 'Bama both win out into the SEC title game, and that game ends close, like a final play field goal or something? Do the voters keeping the loser at #2 do enough to give a rematch in the national title game, if that's even possible?

If Texas wins out, the point is moot because they will be in the title game no matter what happens in Bama/Florida. Cincy probably finishes ahead of the loser of the SEC Title Game, and TCU probably would as well. Boise I doubt would. The place where controversy could come in is if Auburn knocks off Alabama, and then Alabama destroys Florida in the SEC Title Game. Would knocking off #1 then bolt them back ahead of the unbeatens.

Lou did indeed pick USF and was happy but professional in the post-game (when it was finally post-game). I may have to cheer USF now. Any shot at Mark May is a plus. Notre Dame lost to a good team.
