Here's how the matchups play out!

EASTERN CONFERENCE
1 Cleveland vs 8 Chicago
2 Orlando vs 7 Charlotte
3 Atlanta vs 6 Milwaukee (should be a great series)
4 Boston vs 5 Miami (should be the exact opposite)

WESTERN CONFERENCE
1 LA Lakers vs 8 Oklahoma City
2 Dallas vs 7 San Antonio
3 Phoenix vs 6 Portland
4 Utah vs 5 Denver

There are a lot of surprises here. Denver felt to a 5? Behind Phoenix and Utah? Seeds really don't matter in the west outside the top seed, though, since every team is pretty evenly matched.

The East seems easier to pick, I'll go with Cleveland, Atlanta, and Boston. However, I think Charlotte could take Orlando to 7 games and ultimately win the series causing SVG to be fired.

The West will have a major upset, and since there's only one series that can be declared that.. I'll go with OKC over the Lakers. Dallas, Phoenix, and Denver seem like my other choices here, but they're all hard to call.

Atlanta/Phoenix is my finals pick, but I'll be happy with anyone in the 3/6 matchups making it to the finals. Denver also.

The Western Conference playoffs are looking pretty darn good and every series has potential to be good to say the least.

How competitive is the Western Conference? Fans and the media had to wait on the last day of the season to see seeding 2-7 take place.

In the East, it is like "ehh, who cares? There is Orlando, Cleveland, and the improving Hawks who can make noise." Atlanta and Milwaukee could be a good series but I could also see the Charlotte Bobcats being somewhat of a challenge for mighty Orlando with their athleticism (Orlando should win however).

Boston has been inconsistent with their 50 wins but had a better road record then home record which may give them an edge in the playoffs.

The Lakers may have slowed down during the end of the season but they are the defending champs and still have home court in the West. But representing the West, I will pick the Mavs in the Finals. In the East, I will pick Cleveland based on how ridiculous LeBron James has been this year. Cavs or Mavs? Dallas has a more balanced team which I predict to win in 7 games with Dirk being MVP of the playoffs and Kidd finally gets a ring to compliment his Hall of Fame career.

EASTERN CONFERENCE
Cleveland over Chicago
Orlando over Charlotte
Atlanta over Milwaukee
Boston over Miami

Cleveland over Boston
Orlando over Atlanta

Cleveland over Orlando

WESTERN CONFERENCE
LA Lakers over Oklahoma City
Dallas over San Antonio
Phoenix over Portland
Denver over Utah

LA Lakers over Denver
Dallas over Phoenix

LA Lakers over Dallas

FINALS
Cleveland over LA Lakers.

Pretty much by-the-numbers, but that's my roll of the dice. The West seems so wide open this year, they ought to be some fun series to watch.

Denver is actually a 4.

They haven't been the same ever since Karl started receiving cancer treatment and losing K-Mart for most of the latter quarter of the season.

Lakers in 5 over Thunder
Mavs in 6 over Spurs

For the first round, I'll go:

West- Lakers in 6
Mavs in 7
Jazz in 5
Suns in 6

East- Cavs iv 4, maybe 5 but only if Chicago decides to add Del Negro vs. Paxon as a MMA PPV event.
Magic in 5
Hawks in 5
Heat in 6

I'll skip the middle to say the finals will be a repeat. Lakers over Magic in 6.

BTW, are we going to do the poems and haikus like last year, because I'm willing to kick it off.

Bron and cavs are done.
Overrated team knocked out
By Magic again.

Or...

Cavs aren't clutch,
they'll make their fans lose their lunch.
When they lose to the Magic and Dwight
in the middle of a conference final night,
Lebron will skip out like he's playing double-dutch.

I don't know when I started hating the Celtics, but it's probably when Rondo started being the Rondo we know today and everyone else on the team followed suit.

As a C's fan, I don't enjoy seeing Pierce act like he just got shot most times he gets hurt, but in fairness he has had a couple of shoulder stingers over the past few months. I never had one but I know people who had and they said it can be very painful.

KG deserved the suspension no doubt, but the main instigator was Q-Rich, or should I say Q-Bitch. He's had an inferiority complex towards Pierce for years. He needs to worry whether he's going to get traded again 3 or 4 times this offseason. I hope Pierce torches him for 40+ in game 2.

Your Hawks owned the C's this season, so I'm guessing you really enjoyed that....LOL

Note to Joakim Noah: Instead of focusing on dissing Cleveland every chance you get, maybe you could use some of that energy to focus on stopping Lebron from taking over every game and embrassing your asses. I swear, the only reason the games are as close as they are is because the Cavs are toying with Chicago at this point. I expect them to kill the Bulls by 30-40 the next game.

That the thing, I think he rather diss Cleveland knowing they have no chance of winning this series. He(Noah) feels he is getting something out of this at least.

Plus, if they keep losing, he doesn't have to go back to Cleveland!
