The Brewers are sadly starting to realize that they can't pitch C.C. Sabathia every night. They fell pretty had, but they can easily even up the series with Sabathia going in Game 2. They seem determined to absolutely destroy his pitching arm, leaving only a shell to hit the free agent market. Might as well. Good to see Ryan Braun still hitting well, after that great week he had to end the season.
Is panic setting in for the Cubs' faithful yet? I'm sure it is, with Carlos Zambrano going in Game 2. No-hitter aside, Zambrano's September was a nightmare and if he has another clunker of an outing for Game 2, the Cubs could potentially be down 0-2 going into Dodger Stadium.
I will say this, though. The call on ESPN Radio originally had James Loney striking out in three pitches, before that third strike was suddenly called a foul tip. Sure enough, the next pitch was a grand slam. Did the Cubs get hosed there or was that just ESPN missing the call?
I'm going to go back to 1998's No Way Out. The main event -- Stone Cold, Cactus Jack, Owen Hart and Chainsaw Charlie versus HHH, the New Age Outlaws, and a mystery partner, replacing the injured Shawn Michaels. The mystery partner? Savio Vega.
