They were making jokes about this on hip hop blogs. Something along the lines of:
"You'll wait in line for new limited edition kicks [shoes] for over 8 hours, but you can't bring your butt to do the same to vote for the PRESIDENT? C'mon now."
Hopefully though, all that line-standing built up people's endurance to actually stand in line for something meaningful today.
