I don't even wanna talk about it. Just shoot me now. Could not be more disgusted with FSU tonight. I can't even reason out why or how they could have been so bad on offense. They'll still make a bowl game this year, but bleh.

I think some other awesome games happened, but my mind won't recall anything but this embarrassment.

LSU and Auburn are my two least favorite football teams in the world. But man I wish they would play every week. What a great game as usual.

Vandy is 4 - 0 with Miss St., Duke and Kentucky still on the scehdule. Heck, Tennessee is looking like a winable game at the moment too.

That Wake/FSU game sure was... something.

I waited all day to watch it, and wow. Just wow.

At least Maryland won 51-24. MTSU who?

When did they pass the rule that no one can score a touchdown on the ESPN2 prime time game?
Weatherford didn't play, so he can't be blamed. Bowden's kid was a fired a few years ago, so he can't be blamed. Whose to blame now for the anemic FSU offense against grown up teams?
If you turn it over on the road and you have young players, you lose. See Notre Dame.
Very good LSU/Auburn game. More broken defenses than usual from either team, which could come back to haunt them down the road.
When does the list of candidates to replace Fulmer start taking shape?
I know Oregon was on their 3rd QB, but the defense shouldn't get humiliated for 3 quarters by Boise at home.

Blame? After one game? I'll give them a little more time to see what happens. Looked like a bunch of young players that couldn't handle the pressure, which sucks bbut oh well. The offesive line clearly has the biggest problems.

For now I'm gonna tell myself that WF is an under appreciated team, and things will get better.

Really!? You're surprised that FSU was bad on offense? Haven't they been pretty underwhelming on offense for years now anyway?

Disappointed Mizzou fell behind LSU in one poll, but it will all be figured out one way or another in a few months.

If it wasn't for USC, the Pac-10 would be a complete joke. They have taken over the whipping boy conference title from the Big-10.

The offensive performance turned in by FSU was historically bad even by their standards.

Indeed. I don't know that anyone "blamed" Drew for FSU being bad last year, but it is very clear that Ponder and D-Vo are both more talented(well to those of us who have seen more of them). But they are young. I think FSU fans are dying to get excited and looked past the youth of not just the QB's, but most of the offense. They made mistakes and let it get away from them. It happens. Hell, and no I'm not saying these guys are the same, but Charlie Ward was a turnover machine for half of his first season as a starter.

So again I'm gonna stay calm and hope that they improve as the year goes on. I'm positive they will and once they cut down on the mistakes this offense will be good again.

And also hope that Wake runs the table so it makes me feel a little better. But at least the ACC as a whole is doing much better than after those first two weeks. Though a lot of it is smoke and mirrors. I mean everyone's all impressed with how Miami squashed A&M and it means the Canes are looking great now.

Um, Miami did that to A&M last year too. How'd that season work out for them?

And A@M lost to Arkansas State at home. Still doubt that Va. Tech will get 9 wins after the comeback at Chapel Hill? If not for that blocked punt against East Carolina, the talk probably would be starting of them being a darkhorse team to take advantage of the Big XII and SEC beating each other up internally.

I guess I look at VT as similar to FSU. Great defense, horrible offense. Hell add Miami to that mix. So yeah, anyone has a shot, but really if you want to talk dark horse then Wake should be it. They are being ignored, and I get that as FSU looked horrible, but I could easily see WF running the table with that schedule.

Maybe it's just that I'm noticing it more, rather than it being different, but wow this year the hype for teams after single game results is insane. USC is apparently THE best team for sure, and I'm like huh? They beat an Ohio State team that has looked like ass against far worse. I'm not saying USC isn't good, but come on. I've read comparisons to the Bush/Leinhart teams and even sportswriters saying this is their best team ever. STFU, please.

For now if I had to guess from what little we've seen, I'd say:

Pac 10: USC
Big 10: Wisconsin
Big East: Don't know, don't care.
Big 12: OU(until Mizzou shows they can beat them, I won't believe it. They look exactly like last year, and that wasn't good enough)
ACC: Wake
SEC: LSU

Best chances to go undefeated are probably USC, OU and Wake.

I'm trying to keep quiet about my Yellow Jackets and their performances under new coach Paul Johnson, but hell, how quiet can you be when your team piles up 438 rushing yards and 38 points against a team that just held Auburn to 3 points?? All of this with your starting quarterback out most of the game, by the way...

I can only wish that we hadn't blown the Virginia Tech game. Otherwise we'd be undefeated and might possibly (POSSIBLY) be looking at some bigger things. But as things stand right now, I'm not going to get greedy. I'm not even going to eye the ACC championship game. Yet.

Well, at least Miami fans waited to rout a FBS team before overhyping their sagging program...

Re: Georgia Tech - They definitely have a chance because the ACC is so full of parity this year. Everyone except Duke seems to have a shot right now, and they haven't started off TOO bad either.

    Pac 10: USC
    Big 10: Wisconsin
Big East: Don't know, don't care.

    ACC: Wake
    SEC: LSU

Big 10 could be MSU if they forget they are MSU, Big East will probably be USF, Big 12 could be Missouri, ACC could be about 9 different teams, and SEC could be Florida.

Should be an interesting rest of the season.

Yeah, probably should have stayed quiet until at least after the Wake game. but I really do believe this team is good! Much better than last year! No, really!

And I don't know if you meant Miami fans "on this board" cause all the major college football boards have been filled with Miami fans talking smack for months about how awesome they're going to be.

This is one of the easier years for Florida, even though they didn't start out with their typical patsies.

Tennessee is down, they get LSU, UK, SC, and Ole Miss at home. Only "real" road games left are Arkansas, Vandy, and FSU. UF should be able to handle all 3. (Never know though).

If UF gets by Georgia, I think they have a shot of running the table.

I don't see it unless they figure out how to run the football. Tebow is just gonna get beat up again and wear down.

With the shortened games, Tebow so far, even without an established running game is carrying the ball 75% of the amount that he did last year.

If Moody develops like they hope, his load should be even lighter.

That's just it, isn't it? They've been waiting for Moody to develop and it hasn't happened yet. When will it?

And when they get into a close game, who's getting the ball? Moody or Tebow? My guess is as the SEC schedule picks up and the games get harder, Tebow will shoulder more of the load again.

Very possible. I don't know what the deal is with Moody. He got the ball like twice vs Hawaii, didn't play at all vs UM, but he looked pretty good in the UT game(granted the game was basically over).

I'm sure he's got talent, but him transferring didn't sit well with me. Might be a mental thing that's slowing him down.
