It was that other school with the old guy coach who's tied for DivI-A all-time wins whose team beat Coastal Carolina.  But, there are a lot of teams who can be inserted in your Florida State example of needing to prove themselves against ranked FBS opponents before bowl talk begins - teams that will be hoping that those FCS teams they beat early on pull out at least a .500 season so SOS doesn't sink their national title hopes. As much as I dislike the BCS, the fact that there aren't preseason BCS rankings is something they've got right.
