That was SUCH a great series, too.
For it to end the way it did last night was just...sad...

Just PVR Lost and watch the hockey.
OK, I've got to vent:
Looking at the NHL's own schedule page, there is NO national, USA broadcast for Canes-Bruins tomorrow night. If that's true (as of now, that game is only listed for RIS, TSN, Fox Sports Carolina, and NESN- not even a JIP on Versus after Ducks-Wings), then the NHL has a major problem. Maybe I've missed the announcement, but when you have a network all to yourself, and you're running a profile on Patrick Elias, and Doc Emerick, as my TV Guide says that they will be tomorrow night, while a game 7 gets NO coverage, that's unforgivable. I've noticed this a lot this playoffs, and it's not a good sign.
No FREE national broadcast, you're right.

NHL.com says the Anaheim/Detroit (7PM) will be on Vs., and when it ends, they'll join the Carolina/Boston (8PM) game in progress.
If you're dying to see the Carolina/Boston game and don't happen to get NESN or Fox Sports Carolinas, you can pony up for Center Ice or pony up $20 for a chance to watch a live stream on NHL.com. Or....you know....there's probably some other stream which may be live which may be out there on the Internet. But we don't talk about that.

All true, yes. And I freely admit that this is a fair bit of selfish whining on my part. I like hockey. I watch hockey. I don't watch enough hockey to justify ponying up for the Center Ice package, or, at this point in the season, the MLB package, since both programs share channel space on my cable system. I've had bad luck *paying* for online video, and, for my own reasons, prefer not to deal with whatever else may be out there, that we won't talk about.
Maybe there's something in the contracts with various networks both here and in Canada that I don't know about, but to me it comes down to this- what's the point of having a network dedicated to the league, if you can't use it to expand the audience at the most important time of the season? If, for some reason, there was a conflict that meant that a MLB or NFL playoff game wasn't going to get national coverage, not only would those leagues put games on their networks, they'd saturation-bomb everyone with ads making sure we knew that the games would be on.
Or, maybe I need to be told "quit complaining, and move to Canada" That'd be a valid response too, I suppose.

Um, yeah. Now rooting for the Blackhawks and Pens.
The real sucker punch was Scott Walker scoring the winning goal when he should have been suspended. Yes, I am angry about that.
