Phoenix Suns forward Grant Hill
won the NBA Sportsmanship Award (also called the Joe Dumars award), beating out Shane Battier of Houston and Brandon Roy of Portland. He's the first two-time winner of the award, which was established in 1996.
Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu
won the NBA's Most Improved Player award over Memphis's Rudy Gay and Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge by averaging career highs with 19.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg and 5 apg.
The Associated Press has learned that New Orleans Hornets coach Byron Scott will be
named NBA's Coach of the Year for leading the Hornets back to the playoffs after four years.
