One of my poker buddys left yesterday for TWO MONTHS to Vegas, he's gonna play all Hold Em Events on the WSOP. He came 33rd on last years main event and won $250,000, not bad at all! He invited me to go over for a week, but with the new work and the lack of money I don't think I'll make it. This would've been the best weekend for me for the NL and Limit Hold em, Seven Stud and my best game right now PL Omaha Hi-Lo. Oh well, donations and backers are welcomed if they want a fellow W go win money in Vegas hehe.
Puerto Rico...fighting for 3rd place on the World Baseball Classic!

I'm going to have to argue this one. I assume you're talking about the Main Event winner, and really, that's going to be in every major newspaper, talk show, and all over the place. I think something like this has to be considered an "enter at your own risk" sort of thread.
Of course, if Our Beloved Dictator disagrees with this assessment, I shall be spoiler tagging up a storm.
As for the WSOP itself, I was cheap and didn't play any of the chances I had to play in the PokerStars $650 WSOP qualifiers. I tried twice in the $160 Double Shootouts that they ran, came in 3rd place in one of them which made me a sad boy.
Anyone else planning on getting the WSOP PPV this year?
When I worked at Borders, laydowns (for books) generally came a week or two ahead of time. Normally, we would unpack them and put them in bins that said "Laydowns! Do not shelve!" and that was good enough.
