Seems to me that since they were the winners of that vote that of all the players on the teams, they should've been put in the game...

Can't speak to Nomar, but AJ was likely given the night off as he is still recovering from the 19 inning marathon he caught on Sunday afternoon.

If not for the home field advantage if/when you get to the World Series, I would agree. But, Ozzy said he was managing this game like it was the 7th game of the World Series. Why put somebody in 'just because' if it doesnt suit your game plan?

Would A.J. and Nomar have won those fan votes over most of the guys who weren't eligible because they were already on the team? (the answer is no)

Which is (one of several reasons) why home-field in the Series shouldn't be tied to this stupid (but fun) game.

I would not be a bit surprised if the individuals on the team from your area were sexually attracted to members of their own gender. That is how ineffective they are on the field of battle.

AJ and Nomar won the fan vote for the last roster spot. They played as much as the guy with the last roster spot normally would.

If this area can't support a minor league hockey team and the Arena TWO team folds, why in the world would MLB work here? We'd probably draw worse than the Expos do in Montreal now.
