Poor Bob & Dave. This looks like the beginning of a trend for ISPs and websites. There were ways around pop-ups before, but this is really bringing it to the masses.

Well, it isn't as though it's much of an issue for them anymore - I've used Pop-Up Stopper for about a year now, and I've been able to access their site while it's running. It didn't used to be that way, so I guess they realized no one gave a good goddamn about their 'cries for help,' and they stopped trying to scam people THAT way. Of course, they still scam, but at least that particular one has died down a tad.

Just search for "pop up stopper" at download.com. Works for any browser, and easy to turn on and off. Although, if there are any sites that you enjoy and want to support, try to let the ads show up.
