Jesus H. 1popups.com's Royal Rumble recap is 8 frickin pages long. Way to get more popups opened or what? At least I can understand having the actual Rumble match split over seperate pages but some of the match reports on a page of their own are barely a couple of hundred words long.

Yes, I know that they need the popup income to survive but their preachy attitude about everything pisses me off and I needed to vent.

Something wrong with just reading BrewGuy's report instead? I mean, one page, no ads, pretty blue on green design....can you go wrong? No!

Here's an idea...and I know this is probably crazy talk...but you could always stop visiting the site.

Especially if their attitude sends you into a blind rage.

It's a formula I've had to apply to my daily web browsing habits and my life is much easier because of it.

Jason's right. Just don't go there. If you need a PPV recap, there is none (and I MEAN none) that is as accurate and timely as BrewGuy's. His is up almost before the shows's over (well, not quite). But he's big and cuddly and Canadian too!

Brewguy's report was much better, thanks.

Don't know about this wacky not-read-everything-everywhere theory though.... ;-)

Does anyone else have antipop-up software? It is really easy to use, and works really well.

I have Webwasher, which does work well, but some sites detect whether you have it or not, and if you do, they don't let you into the site - I know 1wrestling.com does that (or did at one point - I haven't been there lately)

But he's big and cuddly and Canadian too!

This makes me think that if I were to walk through Florida, elderly couples would walk up and hug me while saying "Look, A Canadian! Oh he's so cuuuuuuute." Hey, there are worse things!

Don't know about this wacky not-read-everything-everywhere theory though.... ;-)

No ads! One page! Awesome WWF TV recaps (well, the PPV reports are iffy...)! PRETTY BLUE ON GREEN DESIGN!

I tried 1wrestling yesterday with Webwasher, and it did detect it. I got a nice cheery message urging me to sign up for the premium area.

Oh well. Who needs Tommy Fierro, anyway?

Tommy Fierro = Trash. I hate that dude, yo.

As much as I cant stand their pop-ups (did they turn them up by the way, like last week maybe?), I'm hesitant to get any anti-pop-up software. Some sites you go to have pop-ups that you need that arent ads. Does webwasher kill those too?

I think it's been about three months since I've bothered to visit 1fatbob.com, and I can't say I missed it one bit. Scherer is usually pretty reliable, but I'd rather read his news on other sites (hell, I can usually read it first on the Observer or Torch), and not have to kill 18 pop up windows, or read incessant whining and begging of me to join the premium section by fucking Bob Ryder on the way there.

I'll think of something witty later, I promise.

<< Does anyone else have antipop-up software? It is really easy to use, and works really well. >>

You know, instead of messing around with anti-pop-up software, you can just go into your browser settings and turn off your Active X controls, then you can visit 1Bob pop-up free and never be detected. Of course, your visit will not be counted by their ad software, either. I also have java and cookies turned off. Then if I encounter a site that I need those for, I use an external browser--and I only have to do that for about one out of every thirty websites.

So if play with your settings, you can make pop-ups go away for good, without any extra software.

That way you can thrill to 1Bob's breaking news story today about how, this one time only, one of his scoops turned out to be true.

It wasn't the "Bret Hart is coming back to the WWF" scoop. We're still waiting for that one.

I'll just read the Torch or Observer and get the news a week or so before Fat Bob breaks it. At worst, Scaia will read and report it at the same time Bob does.

Eric S. , in one of his news reports, suggested Pop-Up Killer. It's something that I use. Just A Suggestion

You have to fuck Bob Ryder to join the premium section? Wow, that takes whoring one's web site to a whole new level.

I have to agree with most people. Why go visit Jabba the Travel Agent's web site when you can get the same results here in better detail and without ads? I stopped going there, mostly because I knew that simply visiting put money in his pocket.

I use a program called Pop-Up Stopper, which is okay, but when it tried it once on 1wrestling, it took forever to load the page because it was busy killing about 5 ads.

Just like to say that I use Popup Killer as well. It works by doing two things: First it looks for whatever scripts are run on standard popup windows, and kills them. This is kind of annoying for sites that have popups you want, like Hotmail's Address book. You can correct this by putting PKiller into SAFE mode, and then it'll ask you whether you want to Kill the Popup, Ignore the popup, or add to the Do Not Kill list. After that, PKiller checks the heading. If you have a popup come up that reads Ad - Microsoft Internet Explorer, you just open Pkiller, double click on the name, and everytime a popup with the header like that will be killed instantly. Oh yeah, and it has sound effects if you want them, too

Why can't they just kill the pop-ups at 1Wrestling and get real jobs like the rest of us?

By the way, what could they POSSIBLY offer in the premium section? Does Bob Ryder's opinon actually have monetary value? Is it like when you see a coupon, and it says "CASH VALUE - 1/100 cent"?

Actually, I always wondered about that "CASH VALUE - 1/100 cent" on coupons. Anyone ever gathered up 17900 Burger King coupons and tried to use them as currency at BK to purchase a sausage and egg Croissanwich?

I think, therefore, I think I am. At least I think.
