It was caught on tape and the owners want to make a quick buck off it. The Lakers should just send him to the Bulls or the Knicks and start to rebuild young talent.

And if you're interested in the video site itself: TheKobeVideo.com. It's not available yet, but with all this press coverage they should meet their pre-sale goals within a week.
Maybe the Buss family can take a look at this to get a clue.
Seriously, they can make this drama end TODAY if they simply fired Mitch Kupchak and packaged Bynum in a trade. It's not hard. I do feel bad for Bynum, considering he's only been in the league one year and was drafted out of high school. He shouldn't be blamed for the incompetent GM that drafted him in the first place. Kupchak, on the other hand, has done NOTHING to justify his continued employment (and protection).

So, not that I think Kobe's being entirely rational or anything, but what would prompt him to say, re Bynum, "fucking ship his ass out"? I haven't watched any Lakers games recently, but everything I've heard about Bynum has led me to believe he's got a bright future.

Kobe probably doesn't think he's going to be around to enjoy that bright future.

He's not a Bynum-hater per se, but the Lakers had a chance to get Jason Kidd and Carlos Boozer among others in the last year or so, but the Lakers were unwilling to give up Bynum in a trade to get them and that apparently had Kobe upset.
Re the video: I can see why the owners of the video would think people would be willing to pay to see it, but I dont think it's going to happen for 3 reasons:
In the age of the Pamela Anderson sex video, the Paris Hilton sex video, the Kim Kardasian/Ray-J sex video, the Michael Richards N-word video, and every other celebrity's leaked/stolen shameful behavior video, I think most people assume this Kobe video will eventually find itself on the web for free just like all the others, so why pay for it now?
Every news outlet reporting on it is already telling us what he said in it, there's really no reason to PAY to hear him say it.
He's really not saying anything most Laker fans & LA sports radio hosts arent already saying, and havent already been saying for a couple of years now.
I'll agree wholeheartedly on that one. i odn't want to see anyone out injured, whether it helps my guys out or not. May the best, full, healthy team win.
