-Kings Palace- Lawler's place is full of Coca-cola memorabilia which isn't tacky at the least. He's got a Diva DVD next to his bed which is not disturbing at the least. He's got paintings of little girls around his house which isn't odd at the least... Seems to be a big fan of Christmas. I could go without seeing the lights on Lawlers bedpost.
-JR loves a frontrunner- Sooner pride is all over Good Ol' J.R. Talked about how he had bad experiences in his trips to Oklahoma like Austin attacking him and joining the Vinnie Mac's Kiss my backside club... But all of the is worth it for getting a pin on that evil foreigner William Regal.
-Tazz goes back to his Rootzz- This was actually a pretty good piece. Showed Tazz going back to his old school seeing how they fixed up the field "But the school is still as ugly as ever" LoL. Talk to his folks. Johnny Rodzz is in the WWE hall of fame?, well they chatted with him who as he trained Tazz... Great interview with Heyman. One thing really stood out for me. When he said he marketed Tazz as a tough guy that we never seen before (because of his stature) and it got over believable. (Memo to Vince, memo to Vince, Not ALL you guys have to be the same cookie cutter appearance to be acceptable as wrestlers). Heyman also talked about how he gave Taz unsuspectingly a microphone one day for him to talk and Taz just gave it back angrily and backstage was pissed and told him never to do that again. Heyman just talks with so much passion in his stories, I could hear him tell stories for hours.
-Fantasy booking: Snuka vs. RVD-CRZ nightmare on screen. Not just fantasy booking, but fantasty booking between eras LoL. And yes RVD can't even get over in this as they put Snuka as the winner LoL... Hmm I wonder if HHH went up against the entire 60-85 Roster if HHH would someone come out victorious, But It'll be close but HHH with the late win with the sledgehammer LoL
-JC won't like this- And I'm not talking about Justin Credible. They showed past highlights from Christmas episodes from DX removing the boxers. Austin stunning Santa (okay that was funny). Mae Stripping (not so funny). Edge and Christian with all the Angle brothers singing a Christmas tune (okay funny again), and Austin singing... Last years Christmas show was pretty good, actually one of the better shows of the year(I remember it because they taped it during the Weekend cause Christmas Eve fell on Raw). The women (Trish,Stacy,Jaqueline v. Victoria, Molly, Ivory) did a Santa's Little Helper match which I thought was the best girly gimmick match they done. They all looked great in their Santa outfits but got in there and did some cool wrestling as well. But they didn't show it on this Confidential I guess because it was pre-taped and such.
Next Week a look at the year of 1996... Seems like an interesting concept doing an entire show on one single year.
Lately I've been watching whatever old PPVs I have lying around. Mostly stuff from the late 80s WWF. Is there an online resource or reviews of the PPVs that could give me more info on back story lines and perhaps even insider info from that era.
