Shawn's gay shirt notwithstanding, the DX reunion was cool. Even though I dig them as a comedy act, and think they are great athletes, I a wish DX had better opponents than the Spirit Squad at the PPV. Why is it not Vince?Shane? Foley-Flair was nicely done, that's almost worth the price right there. It has that legit heat like Shawn/Bret, or Edge/Matt. When is the last time we saw a 2 out of 3 falls match in WWE??
What I like best about Flair/Foley is the fact that it's fresh, and that neither guy needs the win. This feud is money, and I hope the rest of the roster learns from both of these guys.
I fear this will be similar to the recent Tazz/Lawlor which had great promo work, but since both guys can't bring it in the ring nearly as well as they used to, the storytelling of the match itself will be too limited. But I hope the rest of the young guys on the roster watch every second of this and learn.
Charlie Haas looked stupid waiting for Big Vis to attack him. I don't know if it was Charlie setting himself up for 3 seconds too long, or if Big Vis was too slow putting the mic away, but man it seemed like an eternity.
This was the worst appearance yet for imposter Kane.

To me, it was a bit of a "screw you haha I won" to Cena. Plus, it was only one night since the PPV. Plus, it was funny watching RVD play with the spinner like it was a cheap cereal box toy.

So, I guess Cena wins the title back tonight on the Sci-Fi show? I just don't see them actually going with RVD v. Edge at Vengeance.
Am I wrong, or is the new DX supposed to be two 40-year old homosexuals going through a mid-life crisis? 40-year-old Shawn Michaels in a women's tank top and near 40-year-old Triple H showing off his ass just didn't strike me as cool.
Actually it's a G-Unit Wife-beater if you want to get technical... ahh... DX, the days that reminds me of when I use to religiously watch wrestling.. eons ago...

I didn't want to play the old "here's my wife to give a non-fan's perspective!" game twice in the same post, but as long as you mention it, my wife -- who watches wrestling only insofar as she can't avoid it when I'm watching it and has no idea what DX is -- thought the DX reunion was like the gayest thing she'd ever seen in her life. Seriously, it was going to come off as gay anyway, so Michaels at least shouldn't have been wearing that shirt. You have to do what you can do dial down the gayness.

Definitely a woman's tank top and a very faggoty pose.

Being bored at work, I was just scanning the WWE Superstars profiles, and they have profiles (wwe.com) for all DX members from the past. I just it was strange that the links for the profiles all have "axlrotten" in the address. He's listed on the ECW page, though, although I don't recall hearing his name mentioned much of anywhere.
Aside from the homo-centric theme, it's probably a subtle shout out to the hip hop/rap fans and gain a little street cred, if you will... Just peep at Cena's belt, he ripped it from the G-Unit Medallion Spinner chain that they wear in their videos... You may not notice it but me and my boys do, we actually laugh at how homo it is, but then we realize there are younger fans out there that "do" get it... And no one in the music industry has called out 50 for his gay looking wife beater unless you want to get beat down musically and physically... By the way I was one of those that missed the ECW phenomenon back then so I am excited to seeing something (hopefully) different than what they are putting out there currently..

Amen. They should've had Foley cut a promo on absent Flair and say he was going to call him out in his hometown at Vengeance. Then save the historic confrontation*/return of Ric Flair as a draw for PPV. Then do two months of promos building to SummerSlam.
* they hung out during the Orton program, but Flair got zero mic time.
The Vengeance angle can still build up to a Summerslam match. I prefer the presumed switch in gimmick matches, where Foley wrestles Flair's style here, and Flair turns the tables (har!) at SS.

I think Flair might have "Woo"-ed Foley during the Evolution vs. Benoit & Others program in 2004, but I don't think they've ever had a WWE match.
I must also point out that Shelton Benjamin LOST his IC Title to Carlito, something they never actually mentioned on TV with Shelton RIGHT THERE, but did remember in time to put on WWE.com.

See, I would've built to the important first encounter at SS and then gone to the hardcore rematch at Unforgiven. I think, as the DX thing showed, that it's better to draw things out, and this would be the equivalent of Hunter running in to save Shawn during the handicap match at Backlash. But as long as they do have the second match and do interviews all summer, that should suffice.

Yeah, they were on opposing sides during the Foley/Rock vs Evolution match at WrestleMania XX, but I'm pretty sure they've never had a singles match. I don't remember how much interaction they had during the handicap match, but I do remember Mick flying off the apron to deliver an elbowdrop to Flair on the floor.

That was the weirdest pair of chairshots I've seen in a long time. It looked like he totally no-sold the first one. Then he sold the second one by not moving his body at all, but launching through the air anyway like someone had strapped a rocket to a department store dummy
So have they mentioned anything about the tag titles being on the line at Vengenace? I'm just wondering how long it will be before Triple H & HBK get the straps (which might not actually be a bad thing).
And as much as Smackdown probably needs him, I'm kinda glad to see Orton on RAW. Besides Edge & the Spirit Squad, there aren't any real main event heels on RAW now. With Orton back in the Monday mix, the scales get a little more balance.
And speaking of Orton & his move to Monday, the first thing I thought of was Cena vs. Orton squaring for the WWE Championship at WM23 (like the opening sequence of the Smackdown vs. RAW 2005 video game).

I thought the 1st chairshot was a no-sell the first time I saw it too. But after a few replays, it looked like he already knew how he wanted to sell the second one (flying backwards over the table), so he knew he had to remain upright after the first one (to the gut, where he would have had to double-over to sell it). Still came off weird.
I can't seem to find the match where Jericho tried to get Kane in the Walls and fell over on the Slash. Can anybody help? And can you tell me the damn keywords you used in the search?
