265 views and zero replies ... I should probably take the hint, but there are just a couple more wrestlers I wanted to highlight before calling it quits:

Did you know that Popeye the Sailor Man once starred in his own wrestling-themed video game back in 1992? I sure didn't, until a couple of websites made mention of it recently ...

Set in space, the sailor protagonist is forced to compete in wrestling matches against five alien opponents. Helpful items include spinach cans and energy-restoring hamburgers (thrown into the ring by Wimpy), the latter of which may be of help not only to Popeye but to the opponent as well. Olive Oyl and Bluto can also be seen among the alien-infested crowd.

If you'll fast forward to the 0:45-mark of the above YouTube video, you'll find Popeye's first opponent to be a blantant rip-off of a Xenomorph from Ridley Scott's "Alien" franchise (here named "Torqos the Ultimate Destroyer" from the planet Trama) ... I guess copyright was a fluid notion for Europe back in the early 90s, giving the one-eyed sailor a chance to go all Ellen Ripley* on our asses!

* That is, if the movie consisted solely of Sigourney Weaver bouncing off a turnbuckle and repeatedly kicking the alien in its junk

I'm interested in the series and will continue to read, I just have nothing meaningful to say thus far.

I'm getting a kick out of these posts as well. Please keep on going. It's interesting to contemplate the pop cultural perspective on wrestling.
